Christ is Risen

This latest project I created for my grandmother.  I decided to go with my Ukrainian heritage and write out "Christ is Risen" in cyrillic for the sentiment.  The cross is a stamp by Stampabilities and I colored it in with sparkle gel pens to make is stand out.  I used a scrap of pearlescent blue paper as the base of the card and some gold from a Martha Stewart paper set I have.

For the embellishment I used a border stamp by Martha Stewart and pearl "Bling" stickers.  The white background layer is embossed with one of my Sizzix Texturz sets.

Nothing Better Than Cake!

This is another card I made for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge.  I made this card for my husband's Grandmother's birthday.  I used a pink and brown color scheme to tie the card into the cake embellishment from K & Company.  I absolutely love everything they make!

The polk-a-dot paper is from a set called "Simply Delightful" by My Mind's Eye.  I used a Martha Stewart border punch for the chocolate brown, scalloped accent and a stamp by Stampabilities for the sentiment.

The inside message is a stamp by Fiskars in their "Make a Wish" stamp set.

Stars!

This is just a quick, simple project I created as a birthday card for my husband's cousin.  I used a scrap piece of star cut out paper out of a page kit by Colorbok for my pattern.  I colored a few of the stars with sparkle gel pens and added star buttons with "light effects" embroidery floss to accent them as my image to tie into the pattern as well.

Orange and Green!

My latest project I created to enter into two challenges.  When I saw that the challenge for this week at Card Crafter's Circle was Orange and Green or St Patrick's Day I was very excited!  Orange and green will probably always be my favorite color combination.  In fact, it was the combo I used at my wedding!  Anyway, here is what I came up with using the color requirements from Card Crafter's Circle and putting it to the fabulous layout/sketch by Inspirational Card Sketches.  I hope you like it!

Here is ICSketches sketch #154:

And here is how I put it to paper:

I used paper from my scrap pile, Mulberry paper flowers from Michael's, and a rhinestone brad  from Scrapabilities for the center of the flower.  The white flourishes behind the flower were cut using one of my Sizzix flourish dies and the stamp I used for the sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Card Crafter's Circle- Buttons!

My newest project was probably the most challenging one I've taken so far.  Lots and lots of thanks to my mom for being my sounding board and judge with this design!  I took on the challenge presented by Card Crafter's Circle.  The requirement was to use buttons.  SO fun!  I loved this project!

I used several buttons to make up the caterpillar, his legs and antennae are made from copper beading wire.

And finally here is what I came up with for the challenge:

ICS Sketch 153

So it's been a few days since my last post.  Life has been hectic and I sturggled to find time to make this card.  For this project I used yet another amazing sketch for this week from Inspirational Card Sketches.  I used my Sizzix Big Kick to cut out the horse and flourishes.

Here is the sketch for this week:

And here is how I put it to paper:
