It's amazing what you can come up with while watching tornado coverage on TV! I decided to work on the sketch offered by Card Patterns. Here is what I came up with:
For this card I used my Sizzix to cut out the butterflies and scalloped circle.
Background paper: K&Company
Butterflies and circle embellishment: DCWV- Linen Closet paper
Sentiment tag- Martha Stewart

Mojo Monday 236
It's been an eventful Friday the 13th here in Oklahoma with crazy hail, tornadoes and lots and lots of rain! So to keep myself busy while waiting out the nasty weather I decided to tackle the current sketch from Mojo Monday.
Once again I found it easier to center my color scheme around a particular pattern and in this case it was the beautiful flower pattern here by My Mind's Eye.
Ribbon: From Walmart
Sentiment Stamp: Unknown- from E-bay
Scalloped circle: Sizzix Die

Birds of a Feather
This latest project I created for my mom's birthday... I'm hoping that she doesn't see this post before I have a chance to give it to her! I used stamps by Stampabilities and colored the flamingos with my Prismacolor pencils. The background is from a paper set by Me and My Big Ideas and the brads I used were from a set by Scrapabilities.

Hold Your Horses
It's been a long time since I had time to actually sit and make a card. I made this simple card using the sketch provided this week by Frosted Designs. I used an ink pad to make the base look more rustic, so to speak. The horse image is a sticker I had with vellum over the top. For the embellishment I used a piece of hemp rope and metal brads.

Christ is Risen
This latest project I created for my grandmother. I decided to go with my Ukrainian heritage and write out "Christ is Risen" in cyrillic for the sentiment. The cross is a stamp by Stampabilities and I colored it in with sparkle gel pens to make is stand out. I used a scrap of pearlescent blue paper as the base of the card and some gold from a Martha Stewart paper set I have.
For the embellishment I used a border stamp by Martha Stewart and pearl "Bling" stickers. The white background layer is embossed with one of my Sizzix Texturz sets.

Nothing Better Than Cake!
This is another card I made for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge. I made this card for my husband's Grandmother's birthday. I used a pink and brown color scheme to tie the card into the cake embellishment from K & Company. I absolutely love everything they make!
The polk-a-dot paper is from a set called "Simply Delightful" by My Mind's Eye. I used a Martha Stewart border punch for the chocolate brown, scalloped accent and a stamp by Stampabilities for the sentiment.
The inside message is a stamp by Fiskars in their "Make a Wish" stamp set.
